Fundación Felisa is working with BME Spain, Europe’s leading distributor of building materials, on a charity challenge like no other: the BME Spain Charity Challenge. The event brings together sport, solidarity and sustainability, and sets out to raise funds to rebuild the areas hit by the devastating DANA floods in Valencia.

BME Spain, a company with a strong social and environmental commitment, has organized the initiative to bring together its employees, customers, suppliers and anyone else who wants to join a common cause. The BME Spain Charity Challenge will be a road cycling route of around 6,000 kilometers taking in all 57 of BME Spain’s branches across the country.

The aim: to raise funds that will go in full, through our foundation, to repairing damaged homes and putting sustainable solutions in place in the affected areas.

The “BME Spain Charity Challenge” is a journey of around 6,000 kilometers that ties solidarity together with a passion for cycling, taking in the variety of Spain’s geography. What is unusual about the route is that it covers all 57 branches the company has across the country. That means the route will take part in more towns and regions than most, making for an experience of its own.

On the logistics: the route has been planned as a continuous one, with the cyclists taking turns in relays and constant support from a dedicated team. A camper van will act as a mobile base, providing the logistics, accommodation and food the riders need to stay well. The aim is to average 223 kilometers a day.

The challenge starts and finishes at Decoplack Paiporta, in Valencia. It begins on May 14, 2025 and ends on June 15.

How can you take part?

• Ride for the cause: if you love cycling, you can join one or several stages of the route. Whatever your level!
• Make a donation: if you cannot take part in person, you can help with a direct donation through iHelp or by bank transfer.
• Buy the charity jersey: show your support by wearing the official Vuelta a España BME Spain jersey, available in Isolana, La Especialista, Villar and Decoplack stores.
